REVIEW: A cafe owner's daughter, Mayu, is a desperate romantic down in the dumps--until she meets Puchyo. Mayu now transforms whenever she drinks something - milk makes her grow, water makes her invisible, and pork soup turns her into a cute little piglet. To win the love of her life, what will she need to do?
There is nothing cute about this manga; instead, it is one of the worst manga that I have ever read. The concept is interesting: Mayu can change form depending on what she drinks. She isn't doing anything with it except stalking her crush. She is quite creepy about it. Observing someone sleep in their house is not romantic. That's creepy. There's something wrong with this romance that I can't get behind. Furthermore, I wasn't a big fan of Mayu or Puchyo.
While the concept of shape-shifting based on drinks is unique, it falls short in execution. The story primarily focuses on Mayu's obsessive tendencies rather than exploring the potential for character growth or meaningful interactions. This underutilization of the premise leads to a lack of depth and fails to engage the reader in a compelling narrative.
The manga's unique premise is overshadowed by its poor execution, focusing on Mayu's unsettling behavior rather than meaningful character development.
